Over 3,000 words each with sounds, pictures and video (where appropriate)
Versions are available where every word is recorded with either USA or New Zealand spellings and pronunciations. Appropriate pictures and short videos (for some verbs or adverbs) can be displayed with the words and sounds as flash cards. Pre-existing pictures can be replaced with images from the learner’s own life.

Up to 30 sets can be created and saved for each learner
Sets of flashcards can be created and saved for later use. This allows you to create small enough sets for the learner in order to progressively develop their vocabulary.

Words can be displayed as flashcards or used in a matching game
A “lotto” board style of matching game can be played using some or all of the words from the set chosen. Lotto boards can hold up to 9 words.

Adjustable delays allowing for learning
Flashcards can be displayed with adjustable delays between words and pictures; between written words and spoken words; and, between the words/pictures and videos.

Use your own pictures, videos and sounds to create flashcards related to the user's world
You can add your own words and sounds to the database, use your own pictures and videos with flash cards.

Import words added to StoryMaker with the click of a button
Flashcards 4 can be easily used in conjunction with our StoryMaker program (for creating stories) and allows you to import words added to StoryMaker with the click of a mouse button.

Can be used with an unlimited number of users
The program can be customized to be used with an unlimited number of users.

Minimum requirements:
Pentium with 64 MB RAM, an 8 speed CD-ROM drive and a 16 bit sound card. The program will run slowly under such a system and some features may not limited. Graphics requirements: All modern graphics cards are suitable.

Recommended requirements:
Pentium II 700 or faster with 128 MB of RAM (256 MB for Windows XP or 512 MB for Vista), and a 24 speed (or faster) CD-ROM drive. The power of the computer and its graphics card will determine the size you will need to choose to display video clips. A modern PC with a quality graphics card will be able to display videos full screen. The program requires Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Vista or 7, 32 bit or 64 bit.
