StoryMaker 4 Update History

Latest update takes StoryMaker to version 4.45

4.45 (March 26 2013)
Fixed: Problem with movies with MOV extensions (QuickTime) playing. Removed QuickTime as a playback engine for these movies, so now all movies use Windows Media Player. If this gives problems with Windows XP try updating Windows Media Player to version 11 (available as an optional update through Windows Update)

4.44 (November 10 2012)
Fixed: Problem with importing books that resulted in pictures sometimes not being imported with a book.
Changed: A different version of WavePad is now installed with Windows 8. A Windows 8 version is stored in the StoryMaker folder for those who upgrade to Windows 8 and need a new version of WavePad. 

4.43 (September 6 2012)
Fixed: As a result of updating the version of WavePad bundled with StoryMaker to ensure compatibility with Windows 8, StoryMaker was no longer finding WavePad when “Edit sound” was clicked on. Added a note to ensure sound saved as 16 bit not 32 bit (a problem with the default setting in the latest WavePad).

4.42 (September 6 2012)
Fixed: Videos for reinforcements were playing without sound on some computers with Windows XP.
Fixed: Manual advance through pages not working for computers using Windows XP
Fixed: An error reporting a missing xtra could prevent StoryMaker starting on Windows XP (a result of a recent update).

4.41 (August 24 2012)

Fixed: Selecting manual advance through pages when clicking on book words was not working - pages were advancing automatically.

4.40 (August 23 2012)
Fixed: Removing added words could lead to a problem in which the user name gave an error when selected. This happened when the added word removed was currently being used in the user dictionary.

4.39 (March 23 2012)
Fixed:

• Clicking on options on the menu bar when creating stories produced an error
• Setting font sizes for books/sentences or sets did not work above 80 points - can now go to 150 for books and 130 for sets
• Adding a word to the database while editing the dictionary did not work if a picture was associated with the word

4.38 (March 16 2012)
Some minor bug fixes and enhancements. Added an option in the View menu when using books to “Show only Recreate Book” – use when you want only that option available
